About

Proudly Zimbabwean…

I was born one brisk morning in July 1969 in Mutare, Zimbabwe, the eldest son of Billy and Glendyr Nel. One of four siblings, I grew up in The most beautiful land birthed through conflict and pain. Having taken the reality of Christ Jesus to heart as a young seeker of truth, I surrendered my heart to His Lordship at the age of 7. Not long after I was baptized in water and filled with His Holy Spirit. I have diligently and faithfully grown in maturity, serving in all manner of roles resulting in my ordination as senior pastor in 2005.

Today I have the privilege of leading Revival Centre, a Bible-believing, Spirit-led, non-denominational church, for 14 years. It can be described as a multicultural, multi-generational church situated in the heart of Bulawayo, Zimbabwe. Our congregation numbers approximately 300 active partners.

By God’s grace we continue to significantly impact the city and beyond through leadership development, youth empowerment, schooling underprivileged, counseling, deliverance and life-coaching. With a passion for the Kingdom, we are connected locally through interpersonal relationships, the Evangelical Fellowship of Zimbabwe, Youth for Christ, Young Life, Life in the Light Ministries and Minister’s Fellowship Int. (Zimbabwe).

Happily married, in 1996, to Georgia, I have three daughters, Gabrielle, Billie and Phoebe. They are the primary reason for writing this particular book. I am passionate about family, literature, art, ideas and empowering others in their calling.
