Hey Dad was created as a practical, structured journey for men who want to grow — not just in knowledge, but in character, courage, and responsibility. The principles shared here are rooted in Scripture, yet expressed in a way that speaks across cultures, ages, and stages of life.
This isn’t about perfection. It’s about formation.

I’m Wayne — a husband, father, author, and mentor with a deep passion for helping men navigate life well. I’ve walked through seasons of growth, failure, rebuilding, and responsibility, and I’ve learned that strength without wisdom leads nowhere — and wisdom without courage goes unused.
Hey Dad flows out of lived experience, biblical truth, and a desire to see men become steady, present, and life-giving in their homes and communities.

Hey Dad is structured around six mantles — not as labels, but as areas of growth every man must learn to carry well. You want change now however, change starts with truthful, meaningful discussions that result in real world change.

Life in the Light is a Spirit-led ministry devoted to guiding people from brokenness into wholeness in Christ. Foresight Church in Muldersdrift, South Africa, is pastored by my good friend Chris Zeelie. Foresight Church is a Christ-centred community committed to living out a vibrant, purposeful faith.
